Certified Members are publicly listed and subject to ongoing ethical accountability.
For applicants currently completing certification requirements, including examination and review processes.
This status allows progression toward full certification.
For institutions, organizations, or partners aligned with GAOCPC’s professional and ethical standards.
This category does not confer individual certification.
Certified Professional Member: CAD 350 / year
Membership Candidate: CAD 250 (application year)
Exam Re-sit (if required): CAD 150–200
Certification assesses competence and readiness for professional service.

Membership ensures ongoing ethical accountability, professional credibility, and public verification for chaplains and pastoral counselors serving in diverse contexts.
GAOCPC membership and certification affirm professional competence and ethical accountability. They do not confer licensure, ordination, legal authority, or employment eligibility.
As part of the application process for membership and certification with the Global Association of Certified Pastoral Counselors (GACPC), all applicants are required to review and agree to the following affirmations:
1. I affirm the GACPC Statement of Faith
I have read and agree with the Statement of Faith of GACPC. I believe in the authority of the Bible, the saving work of Jesus Christ, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I uphold the biblical values outlined therein.
2. I commit to ethical Christian counseling practice
I will conduct myself with integrity, compassion, and professionalism. I will maintain confidentiality, avoid dual relationships or misuse of power, and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all my counseling work.
3. I agree to counsel from a biblical worldview
I understand that GACPC promotes counseling that is rooted in Scripture and centered on Christ. I will integrate biblical truth and, when appropriate, prayer and spiritual guidance in my counseling, in accordance with each client’s comfort and consent.
4. I submit to accountability and professional development
I am willing to be accountable to the leadership and guidelines of GACPC. I will pursue continued education, supervision (when applicable), and growth in both faith and professional skill.
5. I will represent Christ and GACPC honorably
I recognize that my personal life, words, and actions reflect on Jesus Christ and the GACPC community. I will strive to live in a way that brings glory to God and builds trust in the pastoral counseling profession.
