GAOCPC recognizes structured Christian counseling, pastoral care, and chaplaincy training pathways that prepare candidates for ethical, competent, and Christ-centered service.
Training, equipping, and certifying leaders for marketplace ministry.
Recognized training pathways help candidates prepare for certification through theological formation, supervised practice, ethical instruction, ministry reflection, and professional competency development.
We value the training, equipping, and certifying of church and community-based leaders so they can actively engage in marketplace ministries and care settings.
Applicants should have at least the Certified Pastoral Counselor designation or recognized equivalent, and hold a diploma or degree from an accredited or otherwise recognized theological, ministry, or related institution.
The program equips candidate chaplains with biblical foundation, practical competencies, ethical awareness, and sound theoretical understanding for service across diverse ministry and care contexts.
Chaplains provide a vital ministry of presence to individuals, families, and communities in moments of need, transition, and crisis.
Training may include the following formation areas.
